Yantian International Container Terminals has launched its first inland container depot in Dongguan City, China.

The facility is situated near cargo sources and factories in Dalingshan Town, enabling domestic shippers to pick up empty containers at the depot and return them after unloading.

The new 3.12ha depot, which has the backing of the Shenzhen Government, is expected to satisfy the requirements of factories which are migrating further inland.

The depot will offer these plants around the clock management, storage, cleaning and repair for a maximum of 8,000 TEU. The site is close to the crossing of the National Highway 107 and the Changping-Humen Highway.
