Sical Signs Chennai Port Deal

India’s Sical Logistics has signed a Berth Reservation Scheme agreement with the Chennai Port Trust, India. The deal, which will be effective until 2010, will allow Sical to handle 50,000-52,000 million tonne (MT) cargo capacity vessels instead of 25,000-30,000 MT vessels. T

The deal, which will be effective until 2010, will allow Sical to handle 50,000-52,000 million tonne (MT) cargo capacity vessels instead of 25,000-30,000 MT vessels.

This financial year, Sical has handled 3.4 million tonnes of bulk cargo at Chennai Port.
