Aegean Marine Takes Delivery of Bunkering Tanker

Marine fuel logistics firm Aegean Marine Petroleum Network has taken the delivery of a 6,290dwt double-hull bunkering tanker, Kerkyra.

The bunkering tanker was received from China-based Qingdao Hyundai Shipyard.

Aegean Marine Petroleum Network president E. Nikolas Tavlarios said that the company would use the Kerkyra in Gibraltar to enhance potential sales volume in that region.

In 2009, along with the Kerkyra, the firm has taken delivery of seven double-hull bunkering ships, Tavlarios added.

Aegean Marine Petroleum Network is a marine fuel logistics firm that provides and sells refined marine fuel and lubricants to vessels at sea and in port.
