Sietas Receives €120m Heavy Lift Vessel Order

Heavy lift shipping company Schiffahrtskontor Altes Land has commissioned Sietas shipyard to build two heavy lift vessels worth €120m.

The vessels will have lifting capacity of 2,000t and speed of up to 20kt, the company said.

The purchased was financed by HSH Nordbank and delivery is scheduled for between December 2010 and March 2011.

The ships will be built in the Hamburg Neuenfelde shipyard and fitted with Neuenfelder Maschinenfabrik cranes.
