Seismic data services firm TGS-NOPEC Geophysical (TGS) has signed a conditional letter of intent with Polarcus to use its first released vessel, the 12 streamer Polarcus Nadia.

TGS will use the vessel for about three months from December 2009, with options to extend the service in two six-month increments under fixed commercial terms, TGS said.

The vessel features a ULSTEIN X-BOW hull and a selective catalytic reduction system, designed to maximise operational performance and minimise emissions.

The vessel’s double hull design also includes advanced safety features such as a DP 2 dynamic positioning system.
