Bhavnagar Port located in the Gulf of Cambay, Gujarat, India, is set to reopen in November following the completion of repair work.

Built by German company Cruz White Wolfberi, the port is Asia’s only lock gate and helps maintain a water level of 10ft, aiding the anchorage of vessels.

The main frame has sub-gates with the provision to increase or decrease the water level by a few feet.

The port is in close proximity to the upcoming Delhi-Mumbai Freight Corridor.
