Maersk Line and CMA CGM are to expand their North Coast Express (NCX) and Brasilian Express (Brasex) services to increase coverage and service reliability.

The two carriers offer a single service operated with four vessels with an average capacity of 2,800 TEUs, Maersk said.

Customer benefits include increased coverage to the Caribbean by adding direct port calls in Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and Venezuela as well as a new port call in Vitoria, allowing cargo to move easily from the Caribbean to Brazil, Maersk said.

Maersk will continue to offer its normal services from Panama to the main ports in the Caribbean, Central America and the West Coast of South America.
