Global maritime transporter TBS International said it has taken the delivery of M/V Rockaway Belle newbuild from Nantong Yahua Shipbuilding in China.
The ship, the first in a series of six Roymar-class 34,000dwt multipurpose tweendecker vessels, cost $35.4m.
The vessel, which is powered by retractable hydraulic tweendecks, is geared with 35t and 40t cranes.
TBS expects the delivery of four vessels in 2010 and the last in 2011.
TBS’s current fleet has expanded to 48 vessels including the delivery of M/V Rockaway Belle, with an aggregate of 1.43 million dwt.
