Greek shipping line OceanFreight has announced a charter for a recently acquired 180,000dwt Capesize vessel.
The ship, to be christened M/V Montecristo, will work on a time charter for a minimum period of four years at a gross rate of $23,500 per day and a maximum of eight years at an average gross rate of $24,125 per day for the optional period.
The company expects the vessel to generate revenues worth $34.3m over the period of four years.
OceanFreight’s fleet charter coverage for 2010 stands at nearly 72%.
OceanFreight owns a fleet of 12 vessels, comprising eight drybulk vessels and four crude carrier tankers with a combined deadweight tonnage of about 1.2 million tonnes.
