Delivery delays have forced Norwegian marine services company Stolt-Nielsen to cancel a third 44,000dwt vessel on order from SLS Shipbuilding, South Korea.

Scheduled to begin operating in November 2008, the ship was to be operated in a joint venture with Gulf Navigation.

Earlier this year Stolt cancelled hulls 473 and 474 at SLS because of delays in construction work.

The company had also warned SLS to pull out the recently cancelled contract to make hull 475.

Hull number 476 at SLS is also experiencing construction delays.

Stolt-Nielsen is a Norwegian company engaged in marines transport services.
