DSEC Wins Material Supply Deal

Daewoo Ship Engineering Company (DSEC) has won a €112m ($167m) material supply contract from a shipyard in the Middle East.

The South Korean shipbuilding firm will supply materials including steel plates, main engine and all equipment parts for the construction of four 113,000dwt tankers.

In June and August, DSEC had secured machinery and coating equipment supply contract worth $13m from Oman Dry-dock Company.

The shipbuilding engineering firm expects to generate sales of KRW330bn ($285m) this year.
