A cruise ship terminal at the Port Rashid complex in Dubai has been unveiled as part of plans to double the number of visiting cruise ships by 2013.

The 3,450m2 facility, developed and operated by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, will have the capacity to accommodate four cruise ships simultaneously.

In 2009, Dubai received 263,000 cruise visitors and the government expects 120 ships with more than 325,000 passengers this year, reports Reuters.

The Emirate also expects that by 2015 the number of cruise passengers should reach 575,000.
