Seaspan Corporation has taken the delivery of the Guayaquil Bridge and the COSCO Japan.
The company said the 2,500teu Guayaquil Bridge is on a ten-year charter to Japan’s K-Line.
The ship is the first of seven Seaspan vessels to be chartered to the line.
The 8,500teu COSCO Japan, built by Hyundai Heavy Industries, has been chartered to COSCO Container for 12 years, Seaspan said.
Seaspan has a contracted fleet of 68 container ships, 45 of which are in operation and 23 of which will be delivered overt the next two years.
