Aker Philadelphia Launches Product Tanker

Aker Philadelphia Shipyard in the US has launched its ninth Veteran-class MT-46 product tanker, Ship 013, as part of a series of 12 to be completed by next year. The 46,000dwt vessel will be sold to American Shipping Company and chartered to OSG America for transporting petroleum produ

Aker Philadelphia Shipyard in the US has launched its ninth Veteran-class MT-46 product tanker, Ship 013, as part of a series of 12 to be completed by next year.

The 46,000dwt vessel will be sold to American Shipping Company and chartered to OSG America for transporting petroleum products.

Ship 013, to be named Overseas Martinez, is the thirteenth vessel built by the shipyard.

At present, Aker Philadelphia is constructing three product tankers under its build programme.
