STX Newbuild Order-book Increases

The company has won nine newbuild orders worth $260m so far this month.

In January Turkish shipping company Densa placed orders for two 58,000t bulkers, according to asiasis.

The Korean shipbuilder will also construct four bulkers at Jinhae shipyard for delivery by 2012, and three 58,000t bulkers in early March.

STX Dalian Shipyard, a subsidiary of STX Group, has signed its first newbuild contract this year of four 37,000t bulkers, the company said.
