A £500m ($748.5m) deep-sea container terminal is to be built at the Port of Bristol in the UK, according to port managers.
With four berths, the facility will be able to handle the world’s largest container ships and will provide throughput of about 1.5 million teu a year, the management said.
The terminal will be partly built on reclaimed land from the River Severn.
UK container volumes are forecast to hit around 20 million teu by 2030.
