Nexans has completed a €3m ($4.06m) cable supply contract for the conversion of the Espirito Santo FPSO vessel carried out by SBM Offshore in Singapore.

Under the contract the cable firm supplied over 500km of specialised halogen-free and fire-safe offshore cable for the conversion project, the company said.

The Espirito Santo is a double-hulled vessel designed with power and heat delivery systems to drive the subsea systems and process crude oil, with a production capacity of 100,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day.

The vessel is currently serving at the BC-10 deep water field in the Campos Basin, offshore Brazil.
