The US Port of Los Angeles has deployed a NICE situator security management solution that helps automate situation planning, response and analysis in real time.

According to NICE, the situator is a management software package enabling the company to review a post-incident matter for further investigation.

The system, which has been integrated with a number of sensors and 16 security setups, also allows the port to connect with external agencies for information sharing and real-time response.

Several types of security devices and systems can be integrated into the platform including access control, video systems, perimeter intrusion sensors, location tracking, panic buttons, environmental sensors and communication devices.
