Palmali to Purchase Aframax Tankers

Palmali Group has signed an agreement with Japan’s Tsuneishi shipyard to buy two 1,074dwt Aframax tankers for $120m.

The tankers are expected to be delivered in July and September this year, according to Palmali.

The company said it plans to acquire the vessels for the transportation of crude and petroleum products from ports in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean.

Palmali also plans to purchase a 300,000dwt very large crude carrier and a 165,000dwt Suezmax by the end of the year, according to turkishmaritime.com.tr.
