Swiss-based Allseas Group has awarded a contract to Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering to construct a €454.5m ($555m) multi-purpose construction vessel. The Pieter Schelte has a length of 382m, a width of 117m, a topside lift capacity of 48,000t and a jacket lift capacity
Swiss-based Allseas Group has awarded a contract to Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering to construct a €454.5m ($555m) multi-purpose construction vessel.
The Pieter Schelte has a length of 382m, a width of 117m, a topside lift capacity of 48,000t and a jacket lift capacity of 25,000t.
The pipelay tension capacity of the ship will be 2,000t.
The tender for the lift system of the vessel will be floated this summer and complete delivery is expected in 2013.
