Dalian Wins Orders for Five Vessels

China's Dalian Shipbuilding Industry has secured orders for four multipurpose vessels (MPPs) and one container ship from Singapore-based Pacific International Lines. The Chinese ship builder will deliver the 24,000dwt MPPs at the cost of $29.9m each. The company has also ord

China’s Dalian Shipbuilding Industry has secured orders for four multipurpose vessels (MPPs) and one container ship from Singapore-based Pacific International Lines.

The Chinese ship builder will deliver the 24,000dwt MPPs at the cost of $29.9m each.

The company has also ordered a 1,800teu boxship for an undisclosed amount.

Pacific International Lines has ordered eight N-Class container ships with the Chinese builder in past three years costing between $35.5m and $39m.

The vessels are slated for delivery in 2012.
