Alfa Laval Wins PureBalast Order in South Korea

Sweden’s Alfa Laval has won two orders worth Skr80m ($10m) for water treatment systems from two South Korean shipyards.

The company has developed PureBallast technology in cooperation with Wallenius Water to provide chemical-free water treatment systems.

The systems will be installed on board 14 container vessels built for Danish ship owner AP Moller Maersk.

The contract is scheduled for delivery between 2011 and 2012.
