Wan Hai Lines has added two ships to its purchase agreement of 12 vessels from Taiwan-based ship builder CSBC.
The revised order book has raised the company’s budget by $23.5m to $639.4m, Wan Hai said.
The firm’s previous newbuild agreement included six 1,805teu and six 4,252teu vessels, but was later changed to four 1,805teu, four 1,000teu and six 4,500teu ships.
The new agreement increases the capacity of the order from 36,300teu to 38,200teu, according to alrroya.com.
The ships are expected to be delivered between late 2011 and Q2 2012.
