STX Secures Kamsarmax Orders

STX Offshore and Shipbuilding has secured an $80m newbuild order from Densa Shipping in Turkey for a pair of Kamsarmax vessels. The contract for the 82,000dwt vessels has increased Densa's newbuild order at the yard to six. The ships are expected to be delivered between 2012 a

STX Offshore and Shipbuilding has secured an $80m newbuild order from Densa Shipping in Turkey for a pair of Kamsarmax vessels.

The contract for the 82,000dwt vessels has increased Densa’s newbuild order at the yard to six.

The ships are expected to be delivered between 2012 and 2013, according to asiasis.com.

In January, Densa signed a contract with STX Offshore to build four 57,000dwt Supramax bulkers for $130m.
