Seanergy Acquires Stakes in Maritime Capital, Bulk Energy

Seanergy Maritime Holdings has acquired the remaining stake in Maritime Capital Shipping and Bulk Energy Transport for $62m.

The shipping company acquired the remaining 49% interest in Maritime Capital for $29m, which includes $26m in stock and $3m in cash.

Seanergy Maritime has also signed an agreement with Mineral Transport Holdings to acquire the remaining 50% stake in Bulk Energy Transport for $33m.

Upon completion of the transaction, the company will own a fleet of 20 drybulk vessels including four Capesize, three Panamax, two Supramax, one Handymax and ten Handysize carriers.
