The Taiwanese shipbuilder’s operating revenue dropped to TWD12.39bn ($387m) from TWD16.95bn ($530m), while operating costs fell to TWD11.47bn ($358m) from TWD15.18bn ($474m) during the same period a year earlier.
During the quarter ended 30 June, CSBC’s non-operating revenue was TWD163.8m ($5m) compared with TWD864($27m) during the corresponding quarter in 2009.
The shipbuilder said it expects to acquire a share of Evergreen’s 30 container ship newbuild programme, which could boost its revenue, according to asiasis.com.
