Wärtsilä has launched a propulsion condition monitoring service which provides real-time data and advanced analytics on the condition of propulsion equipment.
The company said the system combines sensory data such as vibrations, pressure and temperature with the operational parameters of the propulsion equipment, such as pitch, steering feedback and set points.
The system also helps minimise operational risk through early fault detection, eliminating the need to inspect a vessel’s propulsion equipment, the company said.
