SinoPacific Shipbuilding Group has secured a $240m contract from Jaccar Holdings to build six ethylene carriers.

The 12,000m³ carriers are scheduled for delivery to the Luxembourg-based shipping investor in 2012 and 2013.

The order at the Chinese yard is the second contract from Jaccar Holdings.

SinoPacific Shipbuilding Group has also secured eight vessels of 12,000m³, worth $320m, from Singapore-based Woodside Holding International Shipping for delivery by the third quarter of 2013, according to asiasis.
