Sembcorp Marine’s Sembawang Shipyard has secured two contracts worth S$75m (US$57m) to upgrade and repair two FPSO vessels.
Under the first contract, from Norway-based BW Offshore, Sembcorp will convert the BW Genie, a 97,172dwt tanker into a floating production unit.
Sembcorp said it will repair and extend the life of the vessel, install a floating production unit and deliver it by Q4 2011.
The second contract, from Bluewater Energy Services in the Netherlands, will see the company upgrade the Gas Dowr, which is scheduled for delivery by Q2 2011.
