SSP Plant and Shipbuilding has secured a $660m order from South Korean, Turkish and European shipowners to build 15 vessels including four optional vessels.

The order includes seven 82,000dwt Kamsarmax bulkers, which are scheduled for delivery between 2012 and 2014, according to Reuters.

The South Korean shipyard secured a contract last month from a European shipowner to deliver four 50,000dwt product/chemical tankers, including two optional vessels for $150m.

The order has increased the company’s newbuild orderbook to 38 ships, including six optional vessels, worth $1.5bn.
