Dredging Corporation of India has secured a INR1.7bn ($38m) dredging contract from Encore Port of India.

The agreement includes deepening the port’s berths, turning basin and entrance channel.

The project work involves about 9.5 million cubic metres of dredging and pumping the dredged material on shore for land reclamation.
