US-based boat builder Front Street Shipyard’s in-house design team has joined forces with yacht designer Bill Tripp to develop a new line of modern sloops that are now available for construction.
The new line of sloops includes yachts as long as 84ft, 102ft and 112ft with a range of interior options.
The yachts’ concepts, interior designs, and exterior styling have been developed at Front Street Shipyard with naval architecture provided by Tripp Design Naval Architecture of Connecticut and Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Front Street Shipyard president JB Turner said: "We’ve long hoped that we’ll have an opportunity to build new yachts with Bill Tripp, whose designs are renowned worldwide.
"We’d like to grow the new build side of our yard with projects from talented engineering and design firms like Bills."
Within this new line, the 84ft and 102ft designs will feature flush decks, while the 112ft sloop is a pilothouse boat, the shipyard stated.
All three models will have a central social cockpit protected by the deckhouse and an aft sailing cockpit.
The sailing systems on these newest designs are fully hydraulic with carbon fibre rig packages and the twin headstay furlers of the yachts offer a working jib on the inner stay and a reaching sail on the outer stay.
Tripp Design Naval Architecture will be responsible for the delivery of all necessary engineering as well as advanced design of rigs, hulls, and appendages.
