The port of Albany in Australia has received final approval from the federal government for its port expansion project.
The Grange Southdown Iron Ore expansion project received approval following a five-year environmental assessment process by the Albany Port Authority.
The port is working with the Southdown project owners on a pre-feasibility study before a final investment decision is made.
The expansion, which includes the construction of a berth and extensive dredging, is intended to triple trade at the port.
