UAE port operator DP World said Dubai’s Hamriya Port has received its largest general cargo ship, the MV Veesham Oak.

The cargo vessel, built in South Korea in 1984, is owned by Veesham Shipping.

The ship is 156m long and 22m wide.

The port, which is located in Deira, off the north-eastern coast of Dubai, facilitates non-containerised cargo movements between the city, Gulf ports and ports of East Africa.
