Modec Offshore Production Systems has awarded Aker Solutions subsidiary Aker Marine Contractors a $30m mooring installation contract for the hook-up of the Bourgogne FPSO offshore Angola.

Modec will supply the PSVM FPSO to British Petroleum for the oil company’s Plutão, Saturno, Vênus and Marte developments in Block 31.

The FPSO, which will be installed in a water depth of about 2,000m, will have a production capacity of 157,000 barrels a day.
