China Communications Construction unit China Harbour Engineering Company has signed an $810m contract with Sri Lanka Port Authority to build the second-phase development of the Port of Hambantota.

China Harbour Engineering Company will build four 100,000dwt container berths, one 100,000dwt oil wharf and two 30,000dwt feeder berths.

China Communications Construction is a transportation infrastructure builder and designer.
