The completion deadline for the dock replacement project at the Port of Anchorage in Alaska

The development project has been delayed because construction costs have escalated from an initial estimation of $360m in 2005 to $1bn.

Further delays have occurred as work done in 2010 is being dismantled to incorporate the patented Open Cell Sheet Pile design.

An advisory commission at Anchorage has asked for an independent review of the viability of the project and various aspects including design, according to adn.com.
