Diana Shipping has taken delivery of the 93,193dwt Post-Panamax dry bulk carrier M/V East Sunrise 88, which will be renamed the Alcmene.
The Greek shipping company has chartered the vessel to Geneva-based food service company Cargill International for 23-25 months for $11.4m.
The charter will begin at the end of January.
Diana Shipping has also acquired a charter contract with Minmetals Logistics Group for a Capesize dry bulk carrier, the M/V Aliki.
The 61-month contract is expected to generate approximately $47m for the company.
