Iran’s NITC Plans Fleet Expansion For 2013

National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) will take delivery of 22 very large crude carriers (VLCCs) in 2013. NITC will expand its fleet by 72% in 2013 and will likely become the third-largest oil-tanker company. The company predicts it will have 74 vessels of various sizes by 2013

National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) will take delivery of 22 very large crude carriers (VLCCs) in 2013.

NITC will expand its fleet by 72% in 2013 and will likely become the third-largest oil-tanker company.

The company predicts it will have 74 vessels of various sizes by 2013 and will be able to operate about 50 VLCCs, an increase from the 28 it currently operates.
