Marine terminal operator DP World handled 49.6 million TEU across its 50 operating terminals in 28 countries in 2010, registering an increase of 14% from 2009.

The company’s like-for-like volume grew by 10% in 2010.

Volume from its consolidated terminals grew by 9% to 27.8 million in 2010.

DP World said that TEU throughput in the UAE was 11.6 million TEU in 2010, a 4% increase from 2009.

The firm also delivered two capacity additions in Callao, Peru, and Port Qasim, Karachi, during the year.
