Stena North Sea has purchased the Dublin Seaways RO/PAX ferry from DFDS Seaways for €24m ($32.6m).

DFDS recently ended its Irish Sea services because routes from Dublin to Birkenhead and Heysham were making losses.

Another vessel, the Liverpool Seaways, will be deployed on DFDS’s network in the Baltic Sea, while a small ro-ro ship will be deployed elsewhere on DFDS routes or chartered-out, according to irishtrucker.com.
