One of the largest integrated ship repair facilities in Southeast Asia has received a contract from BG LNG Services to provide a range of upgrade and refurbishment work.
The Sembawang Shipyard in Singapore has received a favoured customer contract (FCC) from BG LNG Services. The scope of contract includes ship repair, refurbishment, upgrading and related marine services to the fleet of LNG carriers.
As part of the contract, five membrane-type LNG carriers will undergo dry docking and repairs in Sembawang Shipyard in 2009, while more are scheduled for the following years.
BG LNG has also committed to joint planning, information and experience sharing to ensure health, safety, quality and cost efficiency.
