Indian shipbuilder ABG Shipyard will invest $52.29m installing India’s largest shiplift at its facility in Dahej.
The company said the new shiplift, to be built by Rolls Royce Marine Electrical Systems, will help it build ships faster.
The proposed lift will be 270m long and 47m wide, making it the biggest piece of infrastructure built at an Indian shipyard.
The shiplift will have a 30,000t capacity.
The shiplift is part of ABG Shipyard’s plans to invest $2.41bn in its Dahej shipyard over the next two to three years.
