The US arm of engineering and technology giant Siemens Energy & Automation has opened a second marine service centre in Seattle, Washington.

The centre will service offshore supply vessels, cruise lines, ferries, cargo carriers and other ocean vessels.

It will also offer on-call emergency response, repair services, spare parts services, condition monitoring, technical support programmes and asset management programmes, the company said.

The Seattle location allows services to both on-call and service contract customers similar to its sister marine service centre in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
