The Shipping Corporation of India and Geneva-based Mediterranean Shipping Company have introduced a weekly service between northern Europe and the Indian subcontinent.

On 12 June the HS Debussy was the first ship of the joint service to visit Germany’s port of Hamburg.

The container freighter is 231m long and 32.2m wide and has 400 connections for refrigerated containers.

Seven vessels with a slot capacity ranging from 3,400 to 5,100 standard containers are currently deployed in the service.
