Marine transportation services provider “K” Line has launched its Unimax ore carrier Toyokuni at the Ariake Shipyard in Japan.

The 300,000dwt vessel will carry iron ore from Brazil to Japan for the Nippon Steel Corporation.

The ship is equipped with energy saving devices to improve the propulsive performance and fuel consumption, the company said.

The vessel is “K” Line’s largest ore carrier for Nippon Steel.
