COSL to Build Deep-Water Survey Vessels

China Oilfield Services has signed agreements with Chinese shipyards to build deep-water geophysical and survey vessels. The COSL720 is a 12-streamer dual-detector giant geophysical vessel which will be used for the collection of 3-D seismic data in deepwater.

China Oilfield Services has signed agreements with Chinese shipyards to build deep-water geophysical and survey vessels.

The COSL720 is a 12-streamer dual-detector giant geophysical vessel which will be used for the collection of 3-D seismic data in deepwater.

The COSL708 is an electricity-powered deep-water exploration vessel used in geological surveying for ocean-bound engineering projects.

Shanghai Shipyard will build the COSL720, while the COSL708 will be built by CSSC Guangzhou Shipbuilding.

The vessels are scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2011.
