Evergreen Marine’s Ever Ultra container vessel has completed its first data-gathering voyage as part of a global research project to measure emission levels over the Pacific Region.
The ship is the first vessel to participate in the Pacific Greenhouse Gases Measurement project, which has been jointly launched by the UK’s Cambridge University and Taiwan’s National Central University.
The vessel gathers data that measures hydrocarbon and halocarbon emission levels over the Pacific and is part of a 20-year study observing the global distribution of greenhouse gases.
