Greek dry bulk cargo transporter Seanergy Maritime Holdings has signed time charter contracts with first class charterer MUR Shipping BV for the African Zebra and the African Oryx, two dry bulk carriers.

Constructed in 1985, the African Zebra is a handymax dry bulk carrier with 38,623dwt, while the African Oryx, which was built in 1997, has 24,110dwt.

The contracts are fixed for a minimum period of up to 25 months at $7,000 and $7,500 daily gross floor charter rates and a modified profit share of 50% to be allocated among charterers and owners equally.

The contracts are expected to generate gross revenues of $9.7m for the charters’ minimum slated period based on the floor rates.
