French utility GDF Suez has taken delivery of two liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers built at the South Korean Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Shipyard.
The vessels, BW GDF Suez Paris and BW GDF Suez Brussels, are expected to take cargo from the Yemen LNG project.
GDF Suez has a contract to buy 2.55 million metric tonnes of LNG a year.
The two ships are the largest LNG carriers of GDF Suez’s fleet.
